Over the past three decades, the law office of F. Marian Weeks has been serving the needs of individuals throughout northern Georgia in divorce and family law matters. We look at what we do as helping people through difficult times — not simply handling a case. Our team understands that every person will have unique needs and pledges to provide personalized services at all times.

Contested Divorce in Georgia

A divorce is considered contested in all cases, unless the parties have reached an agreement on every issue. Mediation is required unless the parties have already reached an agreement on all issues. Disagreements in the divorce may be over issues involving custody, property division, parenting plans, visitation, alimony, child support and more. A court date will be set and there will either be a bench trial (judge) or a jury trial. A judge will always determine custody and child support issues, even if there is a jury trial.

Mitigating Complexities and Reaching Successful Results

Not only does attorney Marian Weeks have more than 30 years of experience, she has the skills and knowledge to handle even the most fierce legal battles. Our Cobb County contested divorce attorney will explain the legal issues involved in your case, identify the most aggressive strategy to pursue and inform you of all your legal options. She is very experienced in the courtroom and knows what the tendencies of certain judges are. Ms. Weeks will use her extensive knowledge to help leverage your case.
